For Arty Cooper, the unthinkable has happened… he has lost his only son in the Iraq War. While he grieves and tries to heal, an Iraqi family moves in next door, dredging up his anger and prejudice. He reacts by shunning them and starts building a fence around his property, blocking them out… and his emotions in. But when his neighbor’s young daughter goes missing and the community comes together, Arty Cooper is forced to confront his pain and fear… and finds that his salvation and her rescue comes from an unexpected source.
